Manchester Metropolitan University:
Program Dates:
Students may study at Manchester Metropolitan University during the fall semester. Study abroad and exchange is not available in Manchester for spring semesters.
Housing and Orientation:
Housing Options: The Exchanges and Study Abroad Team at MMU works with Manchester Student Homes to obtain information and support for securing short-term private housing in Manchester. Short-term leases are not offered at Manchester Metropolitan’s Halls of Residence for the fall term only.
Manchester Student Homes:
Students contact Manchester Student Homes before making firm plans or signing contracts with private landlords, as they are able to fully advise students on their lease and contract. The Exchanges and Study Abroad Team and Manchester Student Homes hold sessions before classes begin to provide students with support in finding housing. Students should never send money to anyone for housing before arrival.
Orientation: Orientation will be held at Buffalo State prior to departure. Students will also attend orientation upon arrival in Manchester. Buffalo State orientation will cover what to expect in Manchester and orientation in Manchester will serve to acclimate students to their new environment. Orientation to Manchester Metropolitan University will begin with a formal welcome followed by informative events and social activities. These events are open to all new overseas, study abroad and exchange students.
Cost and Financial Aid:
Students currently receiving financial aid can use their aid for overseas study, and may, in some cases, have their awards increased. Students not currently receiving financial aid may be eligible. Contact the Financial Aid office in Moot Hall for more information.
Please contact the study abroad office for the most up to date program cost sheet.
